about
Approach
I work from a psychodynamic understanding of the therapeutic process, but also incorporate an eclectic approach to fit the unique needs of each individual. I strive to create an environment where you will feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore and work on whatever it is that has brought you into therapy. I will also help you identify your strengths and personal resources that can further help in your growth.
Specialties
My areas of expertise include working with individuals who are challenged by depression, anxiety, stress, and frustration. These painful emotions may be related to life transition, difficulties in relationships, or work-related challenges. In addition, I specialize in working with clients struggling with issues of cultural identity, intercultural marriages, intergenerational family issues, and other issues related to diversity in culture and race.
Languages
I am fluent in English and Korean.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
